• Number of days: 1.5 field trip days, 6/8 math & science class periods, 5/6 English class periods
• Length of period: 40 minutes

Objective: To have the students present an acceptable proposal for land use. Groups will collect data at a field trip to the River. Each group will complete given scientific and mathematical tasks to assist them in their proposal.

Instructional Plan: View the site and discuss objectives. Complete in class setup and guidelines for instruction, on-site task completion and in class solidification of concepts and written proposals.
