MathCounts
MathCounts is a national math enrichment coaching and competition program that promotes mathematics achievement for students in grades 5-8.
Through the STEM Partnership, Clarkson University hosts a Mathletes competition where all interested students can participate in a Saturday competition. About 100 students from seven school districts from the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES region will participate.
Coaches from each participating district choose students for their team and/or individuals to represent their district at the local competition at Clarkson University. Winners at the local competition proceed to the state competition.
At all levels, MathCounts challenges students’ math skills, develops their self confidence and rewards them for their achievements.
